Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Calico Guitarworks Inc. ("Calico Guitarworks," "we," "us") runs calicoguitarworks.com. This page explains what information the website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
When you use our contact form, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, the type of inquiry, details about your instrument (such as make, model, year, serial number and service history), your message, how you heard about us, and any photos or files you choose to upload. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in that email.
How we use it
We use this information to answer your inquiry, discuss instruments and services, schedule appointments, and keep a record of our conversation. When you submit the form, we also email you a copy of your submission. We do not sell your information.
Photos and files you upload
Files you upload through the contact form are stored on our website server and sent to us by email. We use them only to understand your request.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar tools to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising:
- Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) shows us which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, and what devices and browsers they use.
- Meta Pixel helps us measure and improve ads we may run on Facebook and Instagram.
- YouTube videos embedded on our pages may set cookies when you play them.
These services are provided by Google and Meta, and their own privacy policies apply to the information they collect.
Who else handles your information
Our website is hosted by WP Engine, and our email runs on Google Workspace, so your submissions pass through those services. Links on our site to other websites (such as GuitarRepairParts.com, Reverb, eBay and Instagram) are governed by those sites’ own policies.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
- You can manage how Meta uses your information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
- You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us at the address below.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry records for as long as we need them to respond to you and for our business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
