After over a decade and half of expertly repairing and maintaining instruments for musicians across the region, Calico Guitarworks is taking the next step—bringing handcrafted, original guitars to life under its own brand. Calico Guitarworks has built a loyal following for its precision repairs and commitment to tone and playability. With this expansion, the team aim to bring that same obsessive attention to detail and craftsmanship to their own creations, offering electric and acoustic models designed and built entirely in-house.

The Calico Guitarworks T-Type “Sapelecaster” is a finely crafted electric guitar that attempts to blend classic style with modern features. The one-piece Sapele body offers warm, resonant sound with natural sustain, while including both arm and belly contours, as well as a neck pocket designed for ease of access to the upper register. The maple neck is designed for comfortable playability across 22 jumbo frets, perfect for expressive bends and fast runs. A dual-action heel-access truss rod allows for easy neck adjustments.
Meanwhile, the Dimarzio PAF 36th Anniversary pickups offer dynamic tonal range that suits a variety of musical styles housed inside custom covers for a unique look. Housed beneath the guitars wooden backplate with magnetic closure, the guitar’s versatile controls include a volume knob with push-push coil split, a tone knob with push-push phase reverse, and a three-way pickup selector, giving you a wide palette of sounds from classic warmth to modern versatility.
The Gotoh fixed bridge with Highwood contoured saddles provide a rock solid foundation, while Kluson Deluxe tuners and an Earvana compensated nut enhance tuning stability and intonation accuracy, allowing you to focus on your performance without distractions.
